    Responsibilities

    AccessHealth is looking for a Family Practice Provider that can communicate indigenous of the Cantonese/Mandarin languages for our outpatient clinic located in Missouri City, Texas. This position is located at the Fort Bend Community Church within AccessHealth’s Mobile Clinic and will be serving the local community Monday through Friday.

     

    You will provide comprehensive medical services for patients, regardless of age or sex, or type of problem, on a continuing basis while working continually to assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner. Additional requirements for this position are preparing records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures, attend and participate in patient care reports, patient care meeting, professional staff meetings and other appropriate professional activities as required.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    1. Examines patient to ascertain presence of disease and to establish preventive health practices.
    2. Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
    3. Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s
    4. Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
    5. Administers or prescribes treatments and medications.
    6. Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of diseases.
    7. Determines need for modified diet and physical activities, and recommends plan.
    8. Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases.
    9. Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.
    • Refers patient to other medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for patient’s well-being.
    • Oversees, reviews, supervises, and acts in preceptor role to family practice residents.
    • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    1. Licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners as a physician.
    2. Board eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine; board certification desirable.
    3. At least one year experience in area of practice.
    4. High ethical standards.
    5. Well-organized and self-directed.
    6. Team player.
    7. Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community.
    8. Excellent communication skills; ability to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on a basic level strongly preferred.
    9. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
